We hiked Poo Poo Point, a classic of the east side. It was great! One thing I love about hiking here is that you're pretty much in shade the whole way up since there are so many trees. Such a contrast to Utah where you'd be roasted in the sun if you left after 10 AM.
^^View of our cute little Issaquah
We were able to go to the Experience Music Project Museum in downtown. It was pretty cool! The had lots of different exhibits with tons of movie and music paraphernalia.
It was so cool to see the Nirvana exhibit. Made me extra grateful my dad exposed me to awesome music growing up!
^^One of Kurt's guitars
^^A drum kit played by Dave Grohl!
^^From the movie Alien...I haven't seen it, but still kinda cool.
^^One of the exhibits had a room with a stage, instruments, and a screen projecting a pre-recorded audience. Lance and I creatively picked a band name (The Harpers) and performed "I Love Rock N' Roll (the song selection was pretty thin). It was actually really fun! After our 'performance' we got printed tickets to commemorate our stage debut.
It's salmon spawning season here, so we took a trip to our local hatchery to see them swimming upstream. mmmm I love salmon...
^^These are fish ladders that the salmon have to jump.
^^The fish were trying to hard to make it past this waterfall!
^^Fly buddy, Fly!
We also went to our first Mariners game! I can't say that I love watching baseball on TV, but I definitely love going to a game.
A nice little surprise, Pearl Jam lead guitarist Mike McCready played the national anthem!
