HELLO PARTY PEOPLE! It's been a fun past couple of weeks, let me tell you. For the fourth of July week, Lance's momma/brothers came down. Every year Lance's family goes to the
Stadium of Fire which is a smorgasbord of patriotic performances (look at that aliteration) that culminate in a 30 minute long firework show at the BYU football stadium. It was my first time and I had a blast!
They had this massive little kids love america dance montage. Our section got to participate by waving red/white/blue flags...well everyone else got to participate; we didnt get any flags!

My favorite part of the show was definitely Kelly Clarkson. She was great! I don't really listen to her music, but I know her hits. I was belting out the wrong words pretty much the whole time haha but it was still fun:]

Yay Kelly!
The next day, Lance's mom took us all out to eat at a very fancy restaurant she wanted to try, Ruth's Chris (weird name am I right?). I've never had lamb chops so I decided to try them. Holy. Hannah. Montana. It was literally one of the best meat dishes I have ever eaten. I want to eat them every day. I told Lance I have officially made it my life's mission to recreate these lamb chops. mmmmmmmm. They also served it with mint jelly which was the perfect compliment to the saltiness of the meat.
Lance got Halibut which was also very delicious!

Lance got a cheesecloth lemon juice strainer. Good idea, eh?
Afterwards we went to a gelato place in Salt Lake. It tasted JUST LIKE Italy. I was transported. I got the same flavors I ate bi-daily in Italia: Pistacchio i Fruti di Bosco. It was the best. I can't wait to go back!

Such a happy girl!
In other news, I FINALLY FINISHED CROCHETING MY FIRST BLANKET! Man did it take forever! I can now say that I have hulk fingers! Just kidding, but not really. It takes a lot of hand muscles to crochet. I'm going to send it to my aunt that just had a baby boy, so if you're reading this aunt reese, a blankets coming your way! Sorry it's months late haha.
On Saturday, Lance and I decided to go to the Nickelcade (for all you non-Utahans, all the games take nickels!). I love going, mostly for the air hockey. That is my favorite game. Of all time. Lance and I get
really competitive with air hockey. By the end of the game, both of us are sweating. big time. haha.

Takes after his dad!
After an hour, we were kinda trying to get rid of our tokens. Lance got really close to beating the high score on a shooting game, so he kept playing until he beat it. Sure enough, he did it! SO PROUD! :]
|
This will definitely go on the resume ;]

I was the ticket lady
One more thing. I've been listening to the Beatles station on Pandora and Simon & Garfunkel come on frequently. Especially this song. And it kinda cracks me up every time I hear it. Reminds of Gob in arrested development.
