dance shows and duck ponds

Hello! It's been a fun past couple weeks. My mother in law came into town and took Kylee and I to a dance show called Shaping Sound in Salt Lake. It. was. awesome. Momma Harper got us AMAZING SEATS. Watching it made me miss dance. I really miss it!
The beautiful Capitol Theater

On Friday, Lance and I got to babysit our three sobrinos. We took them to a duck pond/park area and had so much fun! There were no tears (victory!) :]. Those kids are the cutest.

Yesterday I dropped my phone (for the billionth time) and pretty much shattered the entire screen. Lance found a place to repair it for $120 in Sandy, so we just did it. My phone was straight up shards of glass so a repair was necessary. While we were waiting for my phone to be fixed, we walked around the local mall and found a game store. This place had a huge selection of puzzles, so we decided to get one! Is a 2000 piece puzzle a little to adventurous for first timers? Maybe. Oh well.

On a food note, my favorite recipe that I've made over the past couple weeks is definitely these Gyros. Holy hannah montana these babies were GOOOOD. They arent really gyros since I used ground beef instead of lamb (I'm too scared to buy/use lamb) (I don't even think I like it), but they were delish.

After reading A Thousand Splendid Suns I've been searching for a new book to read. I've started reading The Greater Journey By David McCullough. It's a book set in the 1830s about Americans who travel to Paris for higher education/ to find themselves. I've only finished the first couple chapters, but I love it. It's definitely temporarily filling the traveling void in my heart.
