Sunny Sunday

Happy Happy Sunday. It's beginning to look a lot like sum-mer (*every where you go*). But fo real. Today was wonderful! Lance and I taught our first tag-team sunday school lesson on the gifts of the spirit. MAN was I nervous, but it went great. No biggie, just like Lance reassured me. This weekend I had Lance fix the tube in my good ol' beach cruiser and we took it for a little spin. Man I love that bike. Not very practical, or light, but SO cute.

Since school has been over, Lance and I have been working a little bit more, aka MORE MONIES. So at Costco this weekend we decided to splurge on some dark choco acai berries. YUM.

Here's a close up of our strawberry plant! It's growing slowly but surely. We should have about two strawberries that are 2 centimeters long in about 3 months haha.
His name is barry.
My Dad and step-mom got us a bread maker for our wedding. I've been meaning to start making bread, but we've just been so busy with school etc that I haven't gotten around to it... WELL I FINALLY GOT AROUND TO IT! Man, this little machine is the coolest! Lance and I just hung out in the kitchen, watching it work. You literally put the ingredients in, and 3 hours later you have delicious, fresh, fluffy bread. Everyone should get one of these! Also, it makes jam too. How cool is that?
Yummy bread is mixing

Ta-daa! I immediately took a handful from the warm fluffy center...forgot about slicing.
I also made sloppy joes (*sloppy sloppy joes yeah*) for dinner on Saturday. It was aiight.

On a sadder, less frivolous note, my grandmother has been in and out of the hospital for the past couple of months now. This time has allowed me to reflect on my memories with her, and how kind, loving and generous she has always been to me. I came across this quote and thought it was cute:

Nobody can do for little children what grandparents do. Grandparents sort of sprinkle stardust over the lives of little children.
