GUATEMALA YO!

I went to TIKAL today!
It was absolutely phenomenal! Our day started at 5:30 this morning. We got up and had our tour guide drive us to the frontera (which is only a 10 min drive!). Guatemala is awesome! Everyone speaks spanish! I had a blast speaking to some locals-by some I mean like 2. Tikal was unbelievable. Every time I see ruins, I am always blown away. HOW DID THEY DO IT!? Our tour guide kept throwing around the phrases "quantum physics" and "electromagnetism"...not sure if he knew the definition of those ones. Speaking of our tour guide, he was awesome! He knew a ton about plants and wildlife and was fascinating to listen to. He found this fruit and told us to rub it on our bodies as a "natural bug repellant". Not sure if that was legit. I did it anyways! No rashes yet haha. He also showed us a Culantro leaf. It's the brother of Cilantro (?). It smelled just like Cilantro! MAN I MISS MEXICAN FOOD. I miss cilantro...
Anyways, everything else is going well. I ran into some problems with the Belize Ministry of Education regarding the reading camp, but hopefully it will work out. We're still going through with the planning etc. K here are some pictures!
