work hard, play hard

What a fun second week! We're still working in the garden...it's lots of manual labor haha, but it's great! 

We went to the capitol of Belize, Belmopan. It's not that exciting people. 

 This last weekend I went to Caye Caulker. After a 3 hour bus ride and a 1/2 hour water taxi, we made it! It was SUPER SMALL...but very relaxing! We went snorkeling which was so fun! We saw manatees, sharks, rays, fishies, and sea turtles! I loved it:] My favorite part was sitting on the edge of the boardwalk, watching the beautiful sea, thinking about life. HA that sound cheese ball, but it was really wonderful! We stayed in a super cool hostel. The whole trip as a whole t'was awesome.

This last week I also had the opportunity to volunteer in a local kindergarten class. SO FUN! One thing to mention: the reading proficiency here is far below what it should be. I'm thinking of starting a reading camp this summer in order to help some of the students that are really struggling.
