Can summer last forever please?

These pics are from this morning when I got to the gym. Not edited! Look at the pretty pink sky! When I see something like that I just have this overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my life! How lucky am I that I have a body that can walk and eyes that can see the beauty of the earth!?

I walked out of the gym and turned around and HOLY COW the sky is filled with hot air balloons! I couldn't help but smile like a little kid! Such a nice surprise.

I came across this poem that captures the importance of living in the moment and being grateful...

Otherwise
by Jane Kenyon

I got out of bed
on two strong legs.
It might have been
otherwise. I ate
cereal, sweet
milk, ripe, flawless
peach. It might
have been otherwise.
I took the dog uphill
to the birch wood.
All morning I did
the work I love.

At noon I lay down
with my mate. It might
have been otherwise.
We ate dinner together
at a table with silver
candlesticks. It might
have been otherwise.
I slept in a bed
in a room with paintings
on the walls, and
planned another day
just like this day.
But one day, I know,
it will be otherwise.

Last weekend was the Harper Family reunion  in Ogden, Utah. It was fun to hang out with family that came up from San Diego and play in the water park at Cherry Hill

It was SO HOT that afternoon. My nieces were begging to go swimming (so was I :p) so I gladly took them to the pool and splash pad.

Highlights of the auntie/niece playtime were pretending we were mermaids princesses running from the mean king and trying to find the nice king.

^^I didn't take that many pictures, and the ones I did take aren't very good. whoops!

Hope you have a lovely Independence day weekend! God bless America!
