Well it's a official, we are SCUBA certified! We had such a great time taking the class from North American Divers. Did you know that Utah has the most Scuba certified people per capita than any other state in the US? That's bonkers!
Our last 2 open water dives were in a 'crater' about 40 miles away. It was pretty cool, but kinda expensive to swim in it. Like $25 per person haha really people?! Oh well, it was fun.
We were able to dive to 60 ft! Before the dive, I was super nervous because, you know, 60 ft sounds deep! But it wasn't that bad at all.
My favorite part of Scuba is having Lance as my buddy. I love how we communicate with hand signals when we're under the water, it's like our own secret language!
We're hoping to go to Catalina sometime in the next while here to try out our new skills. I remember going to Catalina all the time as a kid so it will be fun to go back!
So I have had lots of days off from my job because business has been slow. It's been pretty luxurious.
The other day I went for a little walk on a trail right by our house.
I also started to get nervous because I was alone, so I grabbed a rock weapon for protection haha. I felt silly but also safer.
Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! I'm planning on eating yummy food, enjoying the outdoors, and remembering those who sacrificed so much to protect this wonderful country.
