Today I volunteered to be a judge in a science fair!

It was so fun. I forgot how cute little 6th/7th graders were:D

It brought back memories of my golden age of science fair projects. I can remember 4.

(1) Something about how egg shells dissolve in vinegar. Real cool.
(2) Glaciers make striations in the ground. That was the project.
(3) Cleansing Power! Soap cleans things!
(4) How the angle of release affects the distance of a golf ball aka first day of physics 101.

I was really into these projects and absolutely CRUSHED when I lost. I remember during the cleansing power fair, I lost to a girl who measured whether fingernails grow faster than toenails. We became friends and bonded over being girls in the science fair. But man, when her name was called for the win, I was devastated. I think I remember waving bye to her with a red face and tears pouring out of my face. Over a science fair.

Its so funny how certain things seem so important at different stages of life. Age 10, science fairs. Age 14, clothes. Age 16, boys.

What's important to me now?
Things that are forever.
My faith and my family.
