So there was this one time...

So there was this one time where I smoked the entire house. We're talking can't breathe, can't see, impenetrable wall of smoke. It was all because I chose to make these nice, fatty steaks inside the house. I've made steak inside before (You sear it for a couple minutes, then throw it in the broiler until it's done) AND NOTHING WRONG HAPPENED! They came out perfect. Not sure what was different about this marinade/steak, but I literally couldn't see the steaks in the pan. The smoke billowing out was too thick. Talk about a dinner failure!

In the end, the steaks turned out okay. Very charred haha. 

For dessert, I made CRACK PIE! IT WAS DELICIOUS. I can't wait to try it again. It was the perfect blend between oatmeal cookies, caramel, and creme brule. mmmmmmmmmm.

We had intentions of sharing it with our neighbors, but we (I) just couldn't. It was too good!

 On Monday night, we went to a movie in the park. They showed The Little Rascals. Believe it or not, I had never seen the whole movie! I was cracking up! It was so cute!

In other news, Lance got a new toy! The Nexus 7 tablet. He absolutely loves it. I nothing it haha. I feel like my smartphone is pretty much all I need, but then again I was hesitant to even get a smartphone. I thought my old crusty blackberry was perfect for me.

In other OTHER news, school starts in just a few weeks. Gag. Me. With. A Spoon. But also not really. There's something so exciting about a new school year, new teachers, new classes. I even got a new backpack! It's blue.  I'm most excited about not having to work full-time anymore! Wahhooooooo, I might feel differently in the midst of midterms...
